Returning for May 2023 with many new photos!

This cross compounds four of the most iconic species from Sabah and has the potential to be extremely large and spectacular in every way. All four of the parent species grow in close proximity in habitat, so its most likely that despite its complexity that this hybrid would have existed naturally at some point in the past.

There was never any doubt that a complex hybrid like this, which involves four such different looking species, would have a lot of variability between individuals. For that reason, we combined several hundred different clones produced from two greges obtained at different times and we are seeing the expected variability in the output. Since we still only have quite juvenile plants in the nursery, the last three photos in the series show the actual parent plants.

History: First introduced to cultivation in July 2019 ands added to our online shop for the first time in Oct 2020.

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics from specimen parent plants.

Source: Random selection from a large number of different clones out of microprop.

Photo notes: Photos are of representative clones and may not be identical to plants shipped.

Climate: Highland
