Nepenthes (maxima x talangensis) x robcantleyi | 6 - 10 cm

Returning for June 2023 after 1½ years!  

This is a lovely hybrid, selected from amongst many for its unusual two-tone peristome.

The female parent is N. (maxima x talangensis) selected from the same grex of plants as the award winning cultivar Nepenthes ‘Lady Pauline’ (‘Lady Pauline’ in fact turned out to be a male plant). The male parent is a giant and exceptionally black N. robcantleyi, which is one of the original six and has the cultivar name ‘King of Spades’.  This particular clone was selected from amongst many for its exceptional vigor, but in particular for the two-tone peristome which is very prominent when pitchers are young and is still visible in mature pitchers.

Sometimes also available at larger sizes while stocks last!

History: First introduced  in Nov 2018, with only a few batches being offered. The last batch was auctioned in Nov 2019 and it then became unavailable until first appearing on the online shop in Dec 2021.

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics from specimen parent plants.
