Nepenthes burkei | Halcon | > 20 cm

This often under-appreciated species has hard, woody pitchers, which are exceptionally attractive, being red flecked on a yellow/green background with lustrous scalloped peristomes. If pruned back they will form dense clusters of basal growths and many pitchers. Being an intermediate grower, it tolerates a wide range of temperatures, making it an ideal plant for growers of all abilities.

History: We are proud to have been the first to introduce this item to commercial cultivation from a sustainable source in July 2007. It was added to the online shop for the first time in Aug 2020.
