Originating from the Hose Mountains of Sarawak, this species has rarely been observed in its remote and inaccessible natural habitat.  As the name suggests, N. glandulifera has numerous nectar glands which appear over the entire plant. The glands exude a sweet-smelling nectar, probably to attract crawling insects and the honey-like small is often noticeable in a greenhouse environment. It’s a robust plant and its thick leaves are covered with hairs, as well as the tendrils and pitchers too.

Although we class it as a highland species, we have found it to be temperature tolerant and it can easily be grown in intermediate conditions as it doesn’t seem to need a low night-time temperature.

This item is horticulturally produced from our stock plants with Collection ID#s 0354 x 0353 and is the world’s first sustainable source for this charismatic species.
