Nepenthes lingulata | 6 - 10 cm

Returning for April 2023 after 1½ years!

This species is defined by the long tongue-like appendage emerging from beneath the lid of its dark purple pitchers. Unfortunately, many clones in collections throughout the world are not all true to type but this one is the real deal.

This item was selected out of 12 separate clones as being the most typical of the species with a particularly pronounced characteristic appendage.

History: First introduced in June 2012, and added to the shop in Dec 2020.

Origin: Horticultural

Source: From a single carefully selected clone out of microprop, isolated from 12 different clones, all of which were true, but this was selected as the most outstanding.
